Professor Ian Robertson

Ian Robertson is Professor Emeritus in Psychology at Trinity College and was the founding director of Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience. He is Co-Director of the Global Brain Health Institute, a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and a Member of Acadamia Europea. He is a highly-cited researcher on the brain’s attention systems and his most recent of a series of widely-translated popular science books is How Confidence Works: the new science of self-belief, published by Penguin in  2021.
